Taboola Rasa is a non-profit mental health advocacy project. Our main goal is to create awareness for mental health experiences and end the shame, judgement, stigma and discrimination associated with mental health concerns.
We publish interviews with people who are sharing their mental health experiences. In a way, every mental health experience is unique, but the individual stories we tell also share common themes that help shape a broader image of mental health in society.
Changing the Bigger Picture, One Story at a Time
In our experience, just one person opening up about their own mental health story can give others the support they need to approach their own concerns and potentially get help. Hearing and seeing someone else speak openly about mental health takes a lot of the judgement and shame away.
We also publish articles on our blog that otherwise explain mental health experiences, debunk some of the myths surrounding mental health, or simply give more information, provide resources or refer to current events or media reports.
If you’d like to know more about what we believe in, you can read up on it in our values.
What We Can’t Do (But Others Can)
We are not trained mental health professionals but an advocacy/awareness organisation. We cannot and do not give advice on specific issues or cases. We and our interviewees merely share thoughts and pieces of advice that have worked for some people, but this does not replace professional treatment.
If you’re looking for help, please contact your local health care providers, support organisations and/or helplines.

Who We Are
Over the years, I’ve seen how much of a difference I could make simply by talking candidly about my mental health experiences.
My open approach has given others with similar experiences the courage to speak up as well. And people who previously knew nothing about mental health concerns were often able to develop a better understanding. Taboola Rasa is my way of “taking the show on the road” and letting many different people tell their stories.
